Insolita carefully researches small, independent art galleries who focus on local artists or belong to the artist themselves. We also scour artisan markets, antique markets and even look out for objects that shops might use as displays for themselves that are not even for sale….. well weren’t intended to be 😊
These artisans work with their hands to create unique, functional and/or decorative items using traditional techniques. They are masters of their craft and create wonderfully unique products.
These artisans use resources that are locally sourced. They own the production process and develop products without the use of commercial tools. They hold great skills, experience, and expertise in their chosen field. As much as possible, we buy from the artisans themselves so that we are supporting them to continue their craft.
